STEAM Powered Education will be having it’s twelfth holiday workshop – Introduction to Electronics and Breadboards (Part 2) on Tuesday 14th February from 9.00 to 1.00pm during half-term.
This workshop is primarily aimed at upper Primary (Years 5 and 6) and lower Secondary School (Years 7 to 9) but those who were able to attend the last workshop will also be welcome.
The workshop will focus on developing an understanding of breadboards (electronic test beds for a range of different electronics experiments) and the use of resistors, buzzers, transistors, thermostats etc.
Some skills and concepts they will develop:
- Problem solving
- Electronic circuitry
- Electricity and it’s applications
- Wire stripping
The children will be able to make and take home a product which is included in the workshop price of £20.
Although snacks and drinks will be provided, a packed lunch is necessary.
